Role Overview
Our Night Support Workers provide support to Unwin House service users within the home and local community. As a Night Support Worker you will be assisting our service users throughout the evening and ensuring their safety.
Location: West London
Salary: £8.91per/hour
Hours: Full/Part Time
Job Description
- Ensuring service users meet curfew requirements and following the relevant procedures if they do not
- Assessing the practical and emotional needs of our service users and contributing effectively to their support plans
- Providing emotional support by talking to service users and listening to their problems and concerns
- Accompanying service users in meetings with other agencies and healthcare professionals
- Working with service users’ families to help them to support service users in the most effective way possible
- Liaising with other support workers, social workers and relevant members of the health and social care profession
- Completing the daily log file, filling out reports, assessments and checks as required.
- Dealing effectively and politely with members of the public, local authorities, external contacts, service users and staff.
Requirements
- Experience working with young people
- Good communication and social skills
- Excellent time management
- Emotional maturity and resilience
Optional Skills (Not Required)
- Additional Languages
- Full UK Drivers License
- Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or Equivalent
Safeguarding
To ensure our continuous commitment to the safeguarding and wellbeing of our young people, we will complete an Enhanced DBS/PVG check and Regulated Activity, including a check against the Barred adult list, against all successful applicants. Roles will be offered provisionally on the fulfillment of the above checks.
